Yordamchi
Yordamchi is our first product that we launched in March of 2023. Since then, it found its users and continues to grow in popularity. Every day, Yordamchi assists thousands of users to increase their productivity and be better at what they do. It was the product that defined our mission of bringing AI to our community.
Tarjimon
Currently, Tarjimon is in development, and because the world's knowledge is primarily in English, we started with an English-to-Uzbek direction. There are other similar solutions, but none can provide translations of sufficient quality to make mass-scale knowledge transfer possible. We believe that contemporary technology enables the creation of a translator of near-human-level performance.
Microsoft for Startups
We joined the program in May of 2023. There couldn't have been a better time to get involved with the program.
At the time, the free credits OpenAI provided for every new account were about to expire. However, we didn't have sufficient traction to pay for the API. OpenAI API credits were just in time.
LinkedIn is the first platform where we promoted Yordamchi. Since then, all the major announcements have been on the platform. LinkedIn Premium Business was of great help in this.
After expanding our access to Azure services, we had an opportunity to explore Azure in its full richness.
In the search for new features for Yordamchi, I came across Azure's Cognitive Search service and got intrigued by it. I developed a bot to which you could upload files and ask questions about those files.
Azure Container Apps' quick CI/CD pipeline enabled the seamless iteration of new ideas and features. In addition, we created two separate containers in Go and Python, thus enriching our list of features.
As Yordamchi gained more traction, another problem appeared: OpenAI's models are not good in Uzbek because it is a low-resource language.
The abundance of resources made us think big, and we decided to build our machine translation model. We saw that in this way, we would create lasting value for our community.
The availability of Azure OpenAI Services in many regions of the world empowered us to automate our tasks at a massive scale. We knew that we were doing something that wasn't possible before.
We plan to use Microsoft Azure's massive computing infrastructure to train the best English-to-Uzbek machine translation model possible. Also, we'll be hosting the model for inference in the same clusters.
OpenAI's model and Microsoft's Azure platform are providing unprecedented tools for automating so many tasks to such an extent that several young engineers are empowered to make breakthroughs.
Azure Container Apps continue to host our services due to their convenience and flexibility. They enable fantastic speed of iteration.
